Hi,

I’m Lauren, a certified Comprehensive Pilates teacher, and I’d love to share a little more about my Pilates journey with you.

I started practicing Pilates while recovering from a knee injury and was hooked after seeing the positive impact it had on my recovery. Then in 2018, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and had to take a break from my practice while I underwent chemotherapy. Once I’d finished my treatment, I started attending weekly Pilates classes as a way to rebuild my strength restoratively. As I began to feel stronger, healthier, and happier through my practice, I decided to start my teacher training at the start of 2019 to help and empower others recovering from illness, injury, and chronic pain. I spent two years training at London's Polestar Pilates Centre, specialising in rehab and preventative Pilates, working with clients both 1:1 and in group sessions.

I created Movement with Lauren after 12 years of working in a high-pressure industry. I understand firsthand how valuable mindful movement can be to support both mental and physical health. Within my teaching of Pilates, I create a space to notice how you're feeling, to relieve tension, awaken muscles that are tired, and focus on breath work to truly be present and at the moment. I believe once you find an exercise you love, moving your body in a way that feels good becomes a part of your routine that you enjoy and look forward to.
